Japanese Knotweed Control

compressed 1  Come along to Ashley to help us with our autmn working party!

We will be controlling Japanese Knotweed by cutting and injecting herbicide into the stems.  We do this in order to stop this non-native invasive species taking over our native countryside and destroying local habitats.  The tasks include, cutting knotweed, piling up cut stems and injecting.  There is something for anyone of any ability to get involved in.

You can find out more about the effects Japanese knotweed has on native habitats here

Please bring your own lunch, or there are shops nearby in town to purchase sandwiches.  Tea and Coffee will be provided, as will all equipment and PPE.  Please wear suitable outdoor clothing and shoes with good ankle  support.

Let us know if you’re thinking of coming here
